When you close your eyes what do you dream about? Do you dream about snow covered mountain tops with the pastures below peppered with black Angus cattle? Perhaps you dream of babbling streams flooding lush green pastures? Maybe even scenic mountain roads on the way to a private mountain top lake? I can tell you this place exists.
I can’t be sure if it was the lush green pastures, the amazing cattle, breath taking mountains, the abundance of livestock or perhaps maybe the sweet little lambs that I fell in love with first.
There is something so calming about an early morning walk down the lane. Watching the sun rise over the lambing barn and mountains in the horizon with my trusty escort of the ranch guard dog Marvin or Pirate and Lady the resident border collies. Being serenaded with the bellows of cattle and the baas of the lambs even the birds flying overhead. The sound of the the babbling brooks and the smell of the breeze through the sweet mint pastures is intoxicating.
However all of that fails in comparison of the amazing people who call this majestic place home! The Staudenmeyer and Tamcke families are incredible people. They will work from before sunrise till after sunset. Whether it is caring for a newborn calf or a stumbling baby lamb trying to stand for the first time, moving cattle by horse back, tending the land or raising a family. They give a 110% every day.

I’m not sure I will ever be able to properly articulate how much I enjoy and appreciate every moment I get to spend in this amazing place God created. He truly could not have created better stewards to care for his masterpiece. I am already counting down the days till my next visit to heaven on earth with some of my favorite Montana family.
